When I try and install xp I get a message telling me that my HD is corrupt and cannot
be repaired. This is on a disk that runs fine with ME and has been defrag and scandisked.
Is there any way of findind and repairing the alledged problem.

Try to download a third party file system converter - like Partition Magic. Change
your HD into NTFS, this won't whipe out your HD...then try installing XP.
Just an idea. :)

If his idea about the NFTS thing doesn't work then i suggest wiping down your hard
drive completely. I have a boot disk that will make your hard drive virgin again.
