The above named article was helpful, but with Windows XP, somehow I wiped out some of the icons and links on the classic view of the control panel. I have tried several things but have not been able to get them back. One icon that was wiped out was the Display link. Does anyone have any ideas about what else I can try?

sorry, i don't know how to solve your problem, but you can get to your display properties by right-clicking on the desk-top and selecting properties.
