when i start my xp program i keep geting the following message gearbox:confsvr.exe-entrypoint not found the procedure entry point get staruupinfo a could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll i have tried to download kernel files for 98 se but nothing seems to work

hi mick, try this "start->run->sfc" ie. in the run box type "sfc" this is system file checker which tries to automatically repair damaged files. hope this resolves the problem do inform me my mail id is "riteshdas238@yahoo.co.in" -ritesh

Mick - ritesh solution worked for me - simply entered "sfc/scannow" from the cmd line - I had the same problem -Thanks ritesh !! brian

Hi: everytime I start up my PC, I get hpzjrd01.dll Ive gone in to some some other files, and can't remove this one can you help me on this one. thanks,
