Question about 'Share an Internet Connection'

I have a windows xp host using 56k mdm, two windows98 SE client. Client is connected
to the host via. hub..internet connection sharing is on host. client can connect
to host, host will dial up isp, but client internet explorer will not display and
info. host can ping out. client can ping host, but can't ping pass host's gateway.
any ideas whay.

this can be due to several probs.
check settings for dns, gateway etc in net properties.
first ensure that you can ping externally. then set up explorer to use the network.

Could be the Firewall settings. MS told me to turn off the Firewall if I'm connected
to other machines with a network.
