... it's in Internet Explorer 6 and I've removed it with Ad-aware, you can also get rid of it and a whole lot more "potential" spyware in XP with a little program called XP-AntiSpy which can be downloaded from here

First time I applied the program you have suggested and try to run only one command to remove the alexa a problem appear to my computer. This program crashed the IE and Outlook Express. Lucky me! I've search alexa through my whole computer before and found none. So I decide to create a restore point before applying the program you've suggested. So to anybody be carefull applying this program.

... I've never had any trouble with it? I assume you mean Ad-aware? Mind you, I've never had a problem with XP-AntiSpy either??

Carl.

XP Pro - 56K Modem. The crash of IE and OE is really happenned for me after restart. On IE no respond at many double click and open more than 50 windows several minute after, no respond at ctrl+alt+del until I decide to close group from my taskbar; on OE unable to reach my account anymore. Another possibility is because many feature of XP-antyspy has been done by me manually before, also many other that not listed there that may result a contradiction. But I still want to know, in what section of computer this "ALEXA" exist?
