I have a question about How do I uninstall Windows xp...?:

I have dual OS(98 & XP-both FAT32) on the same drive(c:/) and now I want to Uninstall Windows XP? How do I do it without formatting my hard disk?

Without having the installations on 2 different partitions, you are basically stuck doing it down and dirty. First you will have to edit the boot.ini file and take out any reference to your XP installation. Reboot. This should boot straight into Windows98. Then you can manually delete the directories that were exclusively WindowsXP. Unfortunately this will still leave traces of XP, since it would be impossible to tell the difference between Win98 and WinXP system files. If, for some reason, your computer doesn't boot into Win98, your only recourse will be to reformat and start from scratch(which with the possibility of leaving potential harmful fragments behind would be preferable).

windows xp can be removed from the dual boot system without formatting the hard drive even if you have the xp and microsoft's other OS in the same drive.I don't mean that XP can be uninstalled but it surely can be safely deleted if you follow these instructions. At first boot ur computer ni XP ,then click Start>>>Run and type "msconfig".Click on "Boot.ini" tab . U will probably see 2 options namely "microsoft windows" and "multi............xp /fastdetect".Choose "microsoft windows" n click 'ok' .and restart ur computer in XP again. After that right "My computer" and then click "properties".Then click the "advanced" tab . You will again see the options "microsoft ...." and ".multi.........xp" .Choose "microsoft windows" again and then click "edit" . You will see some text in notepad . then erase the last line "multi ..............windows xp /fastdetect" and then click on "file" and save the changes you made and exit .Now u may be asked to restart the computer .Now when you restart you will no longer get the option of choosing which OS to boot .Your computer will directly load your older OS(ie 98,ME,2000 whatever u have) After that u can delete ur "Windows" folder of your XP version . Good luck. If u have some question email me at "prabhatbaniya@hotmail.com"
