A little more detail would be helpful. What processor? What MoBo? On board video? Sound? Modem? What kind of drives? NTFS or FAT32 file system? Fdisk is NOT preparing the HD correctly for some unknown reason and simply reformatting doesn't help either. This might be your problem from what I am finding out. Post back if you want more info.. All I know is it is a mass market hp sold by walmart but it does have onboard video, usb, and sound. I'm going out there shortly and try to get it to boot to the cdrom and see what I can find out. if that doesn't work - he'll have to call a pro. Thanks again.
