Question about 'Get rid of Shortcut Residue'

I have a question about Get
rid of Shortcut Residue:
Well, it's more of a solution for XP users who prefer the light arrow that used to
be provided by TweakUI...
I guess I must be a little strange. Most posters here would prefer to get rid of
the arrow entirely. I like to know if an icon is a shortcut, but don't like the
garish shortcut arrow that Windows uses. In 95/98, tweakui could replace it with
a smaller, lighter arrow and I found that exactly to my taste.
Unfortunately TweakUI for XP no longer offers that option. So I grabbed the tweakui.cpl
control panel applet (which has the small arrow icon within its code and used Microangelo
to replace XP's large arrow with the one from the tweakui.cpl file.
Another way, using regedit is to navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIcons
and change or add a value "29" with the Value data of (path to icon)/iconfile,X where
X is the icon's position in the file. If the file itself is an icon, just use 0
(zero) for the X.
In my case, the value data for "29" is "C:\WINDOWS\Installed System Icons\sysicon2.ico,0"

2nd time posting this message, ironic that annoyances.org can be annoying, go figure.
Ok this will be short and sweet now that I have to post this again.
XP Pro (full admin rights) you can use all options that TweakUI has, including different
shortcut arrows and none at all and even custom(icon creation software required).
XP Pro (limited users, guest users, and even power users) cannot access this feature
in TweakUI.
TweakUI was not really built for XP Home, it works on there, but you still cannot
use it's full capabilities.
Hope this helps some people out there as to why they can't get that annoying shortcut
arrow to disappear.

Hello!
I am having a very specific question:
I have a single shortcut, and on that single shortcut, I do not want to see any shortcut
arrow.
There are ways presented to hide all shortcut arrows (by removing the "Isshortcut"
tag in the registry for lnk:s and pif:s), but none for single shortcut files.
This should maybe be solvable by creating a special CLSID for this very file, and
then marking it there not to be a shortcut.
Is there any other way to make a redirection from one place in the filesystem to
another in Windows 98/ME/NT4/2K/XP? (And still have it feel like a normal icon?)
Regards
Mikael M
