How embarassing! Ok, i have an MS Optical trackball that has 5 buttons. All 5 are
assigned and work well. Problem is, whenever i restart my mouse forgets everything
and i have to go into mouse properties and click ok, mind you I dont click anything
else, just ok, and my mouse is all better. Any idea why this happens, or better yet,
how to stop it?

Download the newest version of Intellipoint from Microsoft.... make sure your mouse
model is selected, configure the buttons, and the settings should hold.
