I hadn't even thought that this message might be caused by my Logitech Mouse and Keyboard. Come to think of it, I haven't seen this message in months, and coincidentally I didn't have the logitech keyboard and mouse drivers installed. I'm using the iTouch cordless mouse and keyboard, which connect to my PC via USB port. You ask: Do you have something plugged into a USB port? Why does that matter at all? I've never noticed any other USB device post "I'm connected on Port X" messages, and I've had three printers and a scanner all connected to USB for more than a year now. I guess since nobody has any good ideas, "we" should look to Logitech for a patch, or to Microsoft for a patch, or on Google for some helpful hints. Good luck - and thanks for this morsel of information! I can live without the Keyboard/Mouse drivers if it means one less annoying popup window.

I have just started seeing this message appear on my PC within the last week. I have XP running as well as the logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. Soun ds like this might be the common link. I have no clue at the moment what is happening. Anyone else get a solution yet?

I get "device connected on channel 2" pop up fairly infrequently, and I too have the Logitech iTouch cordless kb/rodent setup. I updated the software recently but the popup has just hit me again, and I ignored the last bloody update too! So it's off to logitech support I guess.

I found the problem on my PC. It was because the wireless transmitter had fallen on the floor from the back of my desk. It seems the signal is not stron and will not go through a desktop for example. I moved it so it is right under my screen an the problem has gone away! Don't know if this is the same problem you are having but it is definately to do with the signal between the keyb an the transmitter being lost.

Could this be simply that the batteries need changing in the keyboard ?? I'll try this and let you know.
