In Windows XP
click on Start\Control Panel\Appearance & Themes\Taskbar & Start Menu\click on Show
Quicklaunch & select Apply & OK.
Then Drag & Drop anything you want on that Quicklaunch area that appeared on the
Taskbar.

Just right click on the taskbar, highlight Toolbars then click on Quick Launch.
You can also add any folder to the taskbar as a toolbar.
If quick launch isn't in the menu when doing the above then right click on taskbar
and select properties and check the box next to Quick Launch.

OK, whoever wrote their answers to your question were idiots... They told you how
to add programs to your Quick Launch, not the question that you asked. I have no
idea how to minimize programs to the system tray, I only wish that I did, so if you
find out, let me know, OK?

The way I understand it this little download will allow you to do what you are wanting.
You're welcome if it works Rick and Jeremy. If not I'm sorry to have wasted your
time.

You can try a program I use called Wonderful Icon. The programmer is great to work
with if you have suggestions or problems with it. http://thewonderfulicon.com/

I used a program called "Actual windows minimizer" or something to that effect to
get the job done, I did this because I kept closing wmp by accident so I wanted it
in the system tray
