I don't know about all systems, but in my Device Manager, a disabled device called "NT Amp/Legacy Interface Node" appeared when I turned hidden devices on in the View menu. Enabling this device allowed my computer to shut down automatically.

Anyone have ideas for this device not working? We've updated are 4 year old Compaq's to XP and get this error for the device. "This devices is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers for this device. (Code 31)" BIOS (we can't find updates), something else?? Anyhelp would be great! Thanks Ryan
