I have a question about Troubleshooting
Driver Problems:
Someone please help me. Since I installed WindowsXP my computer cannot find my scanner.
It does not detect it as new hardware. It is a Mustek 1200ub scanner, I went to
the web and got the new drivers for it, but it still will not load. If anyone has
had this problem before and has come up with a solution it would be much help if
you would share the knowlage. Thanks!

i have had this happen twice with usb devices, (this is a usb scanner?) if it is
make sure that there are no problems with usb in the device manager, you should have
at least two listings; root hub and a open host controller. then uninstall the drivers,
unplug the scanner. install the drivers, turn off the computer and plug in the scanner
then turn the machine on again. i started one computer 3 or 4 times once before it
picked up the device. also make sure usb is enabled in the bios.
