Question about 'Uninstalling Windows'

I just put Windows XP on a Dell 1.7. It had win ME and also windows 2000 pro on it.
During setup it asked if I wanted to go to the NTFS file system, I said yes and that
it would delete all information on the drive. I successfully installed xp, but I
found me and 2000 still there as well as all the programs files they contained. I
also get a multi boot option. How can I get rid of the other 2 systems and keep XP?
thanks deane

1. Right click 'My Computer'
2. Left click 'Properties'
3. Click the 'Advanced' tab
4. Click 'Settings' under Startup and Recovery
5. Click the 'Edit' button. This will open the boot.ini file in Notepad.
6. locate the line(s) in question and edit/remove accordingly (see example below)
7. Click 'File'/Save, then close Notepad
8. Click OK out of everything, then restart the pc.

Do yoyr Me and WIN 2000 boot when you highlite and press enter?
If you want to completely un-install Me and 2000
you must reformat your hard drive.
Me and 2000 -iff still installed on you HD will creep up and give hella headaches.
Try using EZ-Install - you can find it on the Internet.
It's quick and easy and preps your comp for a clean install.
Ifff all you have is an upgrade off XP EZ-Install will and 98se sys files so you
can upgrade from that.
