If it's throuigh serial port, check in you Contro Panel, System Folder to liik at possible serial port conflicts. The yellow exclamation point is a sign of conflict or other problems. Just open Palm desKtop, choose Hotsync then setup and configure it for com1 if serial, or usb. that should take care of it..
