why would you want to update or install patches this early in the game. I have had software for 3 years and still don't need an upgrade or patch.

the burner included in xp is from roxio but is not seen as a roxio program. It is integrated to the os. Updates for the burner is usually found on the windows update site. You can use it by using WMP 8 included in xp. or copy and paste it to ur burner drive. once this is accomplish right click the burner drive and choose burn cd. or double click the drive and there should be an option on the left hand of the window saying burn cd. email me if u have mroe querstions

XP would not integrate a program that needed update and if it does, now or in the future, it will be on MS Windows. IMO it is best to stick with MS or Roxio updates or buy a different, REPUTABLE, burner.
