Question about 'Customize Windows XP Styles'

I have a question about Customize
Windows XP Styles:
Hello, everyone.
For people who want to customize the Windows XP (Luna)
theme, there are limitations (three choices provided
my Microsoft) and risks with third-party utilities.
(I tried StyleXP; I did not like the default styles
and the ones that looked good on the Web ended up
looking horrible when installed -- and the ones that
I tried had bugs or caused eye strain.)
My solution has been to use the Windows Classic theme
and to modify it. I do not care for the classic theme
that much, but you can control many aspects of the
"Appearance" via the "Advanced" button.
The other advantage to this approach is improved
system performance. Luna and all of its effects do
use system resources -- a factor to consider if your
system is slow or "straining" under Windows XP.
The choice is personal, of course, but I am much
happier not using the Luna theme or trying to
modify it. (You can always give my approach a try
and them revert back to Luna and try customization,
but I am not advocating anything. After all, your
computer is "your space"; it's more than just a
machine to you.)
Thank you for reading my two cents worth! ;-)
Cordially,
David
