I have a question about How do get the taskbar and desktop back if Explorer crashes:

I get a blank desktop with no icons or taskbar. I tried to find explorer in the processes section of the task manager but it was not there. What should I try next?

Try the Ctrl/Alt/Del to call up task manager. Click on Add Task and type explorer.exe.
Most of the time, that will get you back on track. If that don't work, reboot may
be your last resort.
