I just built a new pc and installed windows xp. How do i uninstall windows xp? I
don't have any other operating systems since it is a new system. Please help!

So if you have no other OS, what do you intend on putting on it? That affects how
you should proceed.

xp......, easiest way to rid yourself of old install is to format your hard drive,
aand then do a clean install of OS of your choice. stevew220@hotmail.com

You can use a windows 98 disc to get into pure dos mode and format the hard drive!
get into dos mode and get to where your os is Probably C: then type "format(space)c:/)then
hit enter if that does not work try format(space)C:/u/s
you could try: go to Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management.
Rightclick on
and choose format not sure if that will work but the first option I listed will

I installed a bad version of win xp home and i'm going to install win xp pro, but
i need to get rid of xp home before I do it. I tried to format c: through using a
boot disk to get me to the command prompt, but it doesnt recognize c drive and thats
the drive where xp is, so how do i go about it?

How do you use the 98 Disk, do you mean the startup disk?
