I tried your suggestions....I disabled the messenger . I still have oodles of popups even when I am not using my browser (I have cable) This is VERY IRRITATING so much so that I am about ready to go back to dial up connecting. What now???

Do you have a file sharing program like Kazaa not actually open on your desktop but running down by the clock??
