Question about 'Replacing Start Menu scrolling with good 'ol multiple columns'

I have a question about Replacing
Start Menu scrolling with good 'ol multiple columns: My Win XP Pro was set
this way, and I was using the classic style menus. Suddenly, my Administrator account
has gone back to scrolling, in the classic view only! All other accounts show multiple
columns in both classic or new style, and even the Administrator account shows the
multiple columns if I use the new style menu. The checkbox is always cleared, the
registry shows the scrolling value is set to "No," and I am baffled. I've tried
toggling the checkbox and rebooting, I've tried to check the Microsoft Knowledge
base, and I am out of ideas. Does anyone know how to fix this?
