I have the answer....download netscape or mozilla and use it. I have the same problem.
Occurred when I downloaded kazaa. It was bundled with spyware (myway), managed to
remove it all but IE is still jacked.
good luck,
jrf

I used spybot and found out that Microsoft put a registry entry called DSO Exploit:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0\1004=W=3
Spybot referred me to a website called www.greymagic.com/security/advisories/gm001_ie.
Greymagic gave me some suggestions as to how to how to change registry information
but I could not find the right registry information to make changes. I do
not like to mess with the registry anyway for fear of messing up. Greymagic
said the only real solution should come in the form of a patch from Microsoft.
I do not use Internet Explorer browser. I use Netscape 7. I did
set Internet Explorer Home page to: (about blank) and as long as I don't browse
to any other websites I can close IE Browser. Other wise I have to use ctrl-alt-delete
which brings up windows task manager and I can close IE Browser with Task Manager.

This problem is definitely caused by DSO EXPLOIT, a pesky trojan that was more than
likely entered into the registry by an installation of KAAZA. Search for the following
file.... cjkvjh.exe.
The file probably cannot be deleted, the system will say it is being used by another
program or person. Spybot Search and Destroy can and will find this file and delete
it. You may have to restart after one or more Spybot runs. If Spybot asks to run
the next time you restart your computer say YES.
I apologize for not linking to Spybot, but it is freeware and can be downloaded for
free. I had this problem and this solved it, good luck and happy surfing. :)
