Question about 'Stop Pop-Up Spam Messages'

I installed ad-aware on my computer and ran it and quarantined everything that was
in the list after I did my scan and then deleted it. But I still get porn that pops
up and takes over my screen. I have to hit CTRL ALT DEL to bring up my task manager
and end the task in order to get rid of it. I don't know how these adds came to come
onto my computer. But I don't want then showing up. What can I do to get rid of them
so they no longer come up when I am connected to the internet?

Turn off the Messenger Service - it has no use for home machines and allows spammers
to use the netsend command to make the popups happen...

I have turned off Messenger Service and I have Spybot, which I run frequently to
clean up programs that have landed on my computer. But I still get pop-ups. Is
there no way to stop them completely? Do I have to purchase ($$$) pop-up blocker
software? Why doesn't Microsoft include pop-up blockers? They obviously are selling
a product that has massive bugs in it and is unsecure. Why don't they fix the glaring
errors of their software?
