Question about 'Customize My Computer'

I have a question about Customize My Computer:

How can I customize my windows XP to look exactly look like windows 2000? Is that possible? I understand it would probably be easier to just install windows 2000 but I don't have it and I am working with a tight schedule. I am taking some computer classes which are based on windows 2000 and trying to do the labs in my book and it is a bit difficult because I have XP.

Huh?

Look, at the bottom of this are some suggestions, but ...seriously, if you can't
deal with the differences between XP and 2000 then I question how you're being taught.

"Customizing" does not fix having the wrong software.
You should be able, or not able, to do these labs no matter what the look of your
screen is. If the problem is that a feature in the lab is not there in XP, or whatever
other software you are using, you can't change that. There were features in 2000
that just aren't in XP, likewise for Office and so on.

Of the things below, only the Start Menu can really be changed to look like 2000.

1) Right click the Start Button > Properties> choose Classic Start Menu.

2) Control Panel > Folder Options > choose Use Windows Classic folders (This gets
rid of the XP common tasks, but it doesn't get you the 2000 sidebar.)

3) You can go to Control Panel > Display Properties > Appearance tab > choose Windows
Classic scheme.

Good luck.
