One way would be to use Drive Image. It allows you to "image" an entire drive and
you can set compression levels as well as set a maximum file size (you can make files
small enough to fit on a CD). I'm sure there are other ways, and I'm certain you'll
get better responses than mine.

Yes indeed, there are better responses. Go to www.zdnet.com/downloads
There are shareware tools that you can find there, that are designed to break very
large files into smaller pieces.

In addition, Drive Image V7 (new) will create images across CDs. I haven't tested
it yet on a large partition, but it works on small ones.
