I need to be able to run 256 colours on my PC to enable me to play my game. Does anyone know of a way I could go about getting 256 colours on Windows XP?

Right click on the desktop, choose properties, then the settings tab. Here you will
need to select 256 colors in the drop down menu under color quality. Apply and you
are all set to go...

If you want to run just the game in 256 colors and everything else as before, right click the game's .exe file, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab, and click on "Run in 256 colors." XP seems to be very "old game friendly."
