Question about 'Get Find/Search to Look Where You Want'

I have a question about Get
Find/Search to Look Where You Want:

I have been trying unsuccessfully to make the suggested REGEDIT listed as Solution#1 work on an XP Pro installation. Anybody had any success with this? Solution#1 Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE). Open HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ Directory\ shell\ find\ ddeexec. Double-click on (Default), and replace the value with "[FindFolder("C:\", C:\)]" (or whatever directory you wish). This should cause the Search Location to default to a drive of my choosing, but each time I have tried it, I still get all the drives on the machine listed instead of the drive I want. TIA, Jim.
