I have a question about Stop Windows XP from asking if you want to send a report to Microsoft whenever a program crashes:

What does Microsoft do with our answers?

Probably nothing, until they get enough complaints about a specific problem.

MS compiles all of the Online Crash Analysis information onto a website that it practically
begs third party hardware and software manufacturers to review.

There's an interesting stat on
this page: 1% of all defects cause 50% of all crashes reported; 20% of all defects
cause 80% of all crashes reported.
