I have a question about When
I choose "Shut Down" from the Start Menu, my computer restarts instead of shutting
down:
I have the same problem but only after accessing the internet. My ISP is AOL. I thought
it might be something to do with the AOL programme crashing or something. Anyone
have a view or some advice on how to proceed?

try going to power options (in control panel) click on the advance tab and choose
the options at the bottom of the window. These might help.
