Use the cleanup button on C: properties to get rid of a bunch of temporary files
and clutter. Visit the Black VIper XP performance site and get rid of unneeded background
programs. Study the Performance section on shown at the left sidebar. Use a good
antivirus and Spybot or Adaware to keep out trojans, etc.

Hi Steve I had a virus last week and I deleated the file that was infected. I don't know if this has anything to do with it. I did a virus scan and the virus is gone. Thanks Paula

A virus can cause the problem. Even after removal some things could have been changed. Take Toms advice.

spyware is the #1 cause for "slow". Try ewido (www.ewido.com) that gets most of the weeds out and by far one of the best out on the market. The trial version will work for 15 days without any issues.
