I have a question about Go
Directly to Device Manager:
Well not really a question, but i have a faster way of getting to device manager.
Right click on My Computer, select "Manage". Device manager is listed under system
tools.

Better way to Device manager.........press windows key/pause-break key...........two
clicks to Device Manager. Your way takes twice as many. Thanks anyway though.

Your way is duly noted and appreciated.
However, it won't work when you're on a laptop (like I am) with no windows key.
=)
And my way is equally fast as yours if you have your desktop customized to have My
Computer on the desktop ("classic start menu")

Yeah...........mine is on the desktop, and it still takes 4 clicks to get to DM...........no
way.......mines's faster!.........lol.........just kidding. Seriously though, if
you're on a laptop with no windows key, your technique, I would think, would be your
best bet.

I did a one-time search for devmgmt.msc (once I knew what to look for). From there
it was merely a question of where I wanted to drag a shortcut, be it Start Menu,
Quick Launch, Desktop, what have you.
My preference is the Start Menu. Half the time I use my laptop (no Windows key),
and since I can't stand the laptop "mouse," I just do the Esc+Ctrl followed by the
character I've designated to Device Manager.
I do have a question. Since it's the same end result, does it matter if under Target
you've got "%SystemRoot%" as opposed to "C:\Windows"?
