Question about 'How do I skip the Product Activation in Windows XP?'

I have a question about XP NON-ACTIVATION. When I attemt to acivate the damn OS,
zilch happens, apart from an ambiguous attempt to contact the acivation URL. This
is a genuine XP installation - BUT: I had severe problems trying to install. Got
the 39minute PARSE ERROR and had to search on the net for a solution - which I got
from Richard. Applied it, and after 29days, tried the 'activate' button. Now I am
locked out of the XP-erience. Any other mugs feel like demanding their money back?

Define "ambiguous attempt"...it either connected or it didnt...and if it didnt...it
gave you a reason or an error.

Go to your Start/Help and Support In the Search field type in XP Activate Now
pick a task on how you want to activate

'Ambiguous attempt' = Activation pop-up appeared. Message reported 'unable to contact
server. Please try again later.' or words to that effect. Needless to say, I tried
again many times before I ran out of time. Capice?

Did you notice the phone number on your screen. Call that if the on-line activation
doesn't work.
It's not uncommon for the on-line one to fail, I've had it fail on me ("you don't
have an internet connection" while I'm downloading!) but the phone still works.
