Tweaking msconfig....

I am running Windows XP Home Edition and I am trying to "neaten" up my entire pc.
My question is this: How can I remove the files in msconfig under the startup tab?
Files that I have unchecked and I don't want them being there. (I hope this didn't
confuse anyone) Thanks for the help.

Go to their location and delete them. The locations are listed there.

If you are looking for a performance boost try:
Black Viper
Look under XP Services, most users find the "safe"
catagory to be applicable.
Good Luck,

You can do this with regedit.
You heard this a hundred times, before you play with the registry back it up.
Start>Run>Type regedit>OK. Next, Highlight My Computer. Edit>Find>type msconfig>click
Find Next.
This will bring you to the MSConfig folder. Expanded it and you will see a folder
startupreg, expanded it you will see all the entries that you unchecked in msconfig.
Delete them and close regedit. Open regedit and they will be gone. Tom
