outlook express and windows xp

i have configured mail accounts in outlook express and it works well in dialup. i
am able to get mails. but if i enable ms proxy client 2.0, mails are not geting
in outlook express. but the sites are accessible.the pc is a new laptop with windows
xp. other pcs in network are geting mails in outlook.i have reinstalled proxy client
several times also. what can be the cause?
