To Whomever can HELP!!!
I have this ongoing problem of late. My puter keeps restarting, especially on a coldboot.
Last time I booted up it restarted 7 times before it finally went into Windows Xp
SP1. During a puter session it also restarts for no reason at all. Recently I had
to reset the bios as the password was changed and forgotten. I also formatted c:
and re-installed Windows Xp Sp1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me CRAZY!!!
Whew! made it (this message) before it restarted

I would guess that this is a hardware problem rather than software - first things
to check would be to make sure all the fans in the system are working, especially
make sure that the processor fan is spinning at its proper speed, next in line would
be the memory, if you have two sticks of memory, remove one of them and see if the
problem goes away, if not - swap the sticks around. If the problem still exists,
then disconnect your hardware one piece at a time, and this will hopefully eleiminate
the problem by process of elimination.
