cd-rom opening in win XP

Hello
I have a problem with my CD-ROM in WinXP
After swiching with a writer in system and then reinstaling the cd-rom my CD-ROM
refuse to open (to view the content in My Computer window or in Windows Explorer).
I see the label of the CD and in Frigate (a file manager) I can see the content of
the cd and can copy files from it. What should I doo to fix that.
