Question about 'Customize Common Dialogs'

I have a question about Customize
Common Dialogs:
The windows XP method for open, save and save-as that seems to truly work.
My specific problem - i am administering a lab with 4 machines that use a single
file server as the primary place to store files, naturally, i want that place to
appear at the top of the places bar.
How i did it:
The key i played with is:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\comdlg32\PlacesBar\
I needed to create both the "comdlg32" and "PlacesBar" keys.
inside the "PlacesBar" key, i created 5 values, for my first since it was a custom
place, i created a STRING value, named "Place0" (Note: the index starts at 0, not
1), and the value of "S:\" (my file server mount).
For my other 4 places, i created DWORDS named "Place1" "Place2" "Place3" and "Place4".
The values for these, i got from the table at :
http://www.puppypc.com/windows/rt/comdlg_placebar.htm
Works great, 100% reproducible on WinXP SP1

You can do all this with TweakUI, too.

Nope, you can only add what's in the combo box,
not custom paths

Hi,
Could you please publish those values for "Place1" "Place2" "Place3" and "Place4"
the page that you refered is not available anymore that'll be great if you can give
us the values.
Thanks in Advance, Rogelio.

Nope. You can type a custom path in those boxes:
______________
make xp behave
