I am being swamped with pop ups and my browser seems to run slow and sometimes will
not let me access certain places (it says that the link cannot be found) when I know
that I can, I have to computers running. Recently when I turn on my computer a pop-up
says that I have a parasite and I need to install virtual bouncer. I have not done
this, what do I do to correct? Please help. I am currently running WindowsXp Proffesional
for windows 2000.
Thank You
Lori

Download, install, and run Ad-aware 6 and Spybot SD. Do not listen to anything the
pop-ups say as they will further mess up your PC.

Do download AdAware and SpyBotS&D and also PopUp Stopper Free Edition. I use it
and it's very effective. You won't be disappointed.

And just to repeat:
Never ever click on any unsolicited popups, or spam mail. There are malicious people
out there on the internet, and they are hoping some sucker will click.
By the way, popup stopper is okay, but I think installing the Google toolbar is an
even better way of stopping popups that come through I.E.
