hi
my computer freezes just at the point of displaying the desktop icons.
no amount of right clicking does anything .ctl-alt-del shows the explorer.exe running
in the task manager process box no other function seems to work .i can boot into
safe mode but what do i do when i get there
i did have the dialer virus DyFuca but i have removed that from my system i have
done a virus scan with panda but nothing found .
i can do a restore to the day before but i want to know why and how i have come to
this situation

this may work for you:
Ctl-alt-del end all occurrences of exeplorer.exe.
“New Task” exeplorer.exe
Start – Run – type regedit – locate
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects
And delete.
download, immediately update, and run:
SpyBot Search & Destroy and Ad-aware

hi
many thanks for a quick reply although i should have mentioned the fact that i
had already tried what you advise to no avail . i think it is one of those abnomalities
which occur . i shall restore to yesterday and put it down to experiece which is
always benifical is it not . once again thankyou .
