I have a question about Why don't folders remember their position, sort order, or icon size?:

Apparently microsoft has developed a way in which the computer plays stupid, thereby perpetuating discernment on your part and asking "how.why". Here is an example. When first started to use xp every time i tried to open a folder or file, I would get the response.windows cannot open this file or foldr. would you like to go on line etc...I was ready to throw my system out the window until my wifes dad( a computer genius, literally, explained to me that you direct it to the appropriate container. either note pad or word pad and it magically opens it, the only thing is that it DOES IT EVERY TIME!!!!!tTheir is some one a very small person that lives inside of every xp computer. That is just one of thousands of tricks it uses to make you think it is stupid. Why? s Simple,it wants to run your computer it and microsoft.dont get me wrong it is better than 98, but definitely not worth the trouble of swithching if you use nt or 2000.j just a thought

Removing Shortcut Arrows on Desktop Icons

This is my first time at Annoyances.org and I'm wondering: You've got a list of questions regarding why the position of program icons on our PC's Desktops won't 'Stay-Put' - yet I've not seen one explanation or answer from you regarding this query - so, what's the freakin' use of this? I can't lock my Desktop because I use Transparent W, and locking the icons overides the Transparent software - so, yea - their moving around all over the place and it's a real drag. If all you've got are questions without any answers - that's an 'Annoyance'!

Using WindowsXP, DELL Dimension 3000, I really need this software again (had it on WinME system) but can't seem to find it in your site - and I've been all over the place in this thing looking for it. Would you please help me out with this?
