Sorry, I entered my last question wrong. What I was trying to ask was, is it a good idea to clear the microsoft updates out of the add/remove programs folder and also how do you restore a program to the add/remove folder that has been previously cleared?

Q.1= No not a good idea ! Q.2= Reinstall the program...............

To "clear them out" , you have to uninstall them....
(Windows Updates)
If you uninstall them , then your computer may not be
protected....

How do you "restore a program"..??
you reinstall it.....
