Okay, that turns off native XP support for .zip files. I want to keep XP support for .zip files, but just not have the windows search look in .zip files.

I have found a tool that keeps zipfile support but removes the annoying search behaviour. It modifies the registry somehow. http://windowsxp.mvps.org/zipfldr.htm
