Installing Win XP over win ME

I have a 60gig hard drive partitioned into 6 hard drives. I am using Windows ME
upgrade (on c Drive) and would like to install a full verson of Windows XP home over
it. When I try and install XP it tells me to install it to the D drive because Windows
ME is on C. What can I do to uninstall or delete windows ME so I can install Windows
XP Home on it? Any help would be apprciated.
Thanks JJ

It's not a good idea to upgrade ME to XP anyway.....It's best to do a clean install
of XP.......Check out this site and follow the instructions....(http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html).........g/l.....Barry..
