Is it OK to delete the default user?

Hi I'm trying to un-clutter my XP a little. In windows explorer I see users listed
as... "All Users", "Default User", and (me) "My Name". I understand how the "All
Users" is needed. Of course I want to keep my own account, "My Name". Is it ok
to delete the "Default User"? Default user doesn't seem to be needed, all its folders
are empty. I want to delete it, can I do so without causing any sort of programming
errors?

I sure screwed up the spacing on that reply. Anyway it is supposed to be ahidden
folder. That way for a reason. I would leave it. Heck I have 5 users including the
default user. I am the sole owner of the machine and no other person has ever been
on it.

I don't see any advantage of having more that one user, but I don't know if it would
be safe to remove any. Windows sometimes gets temperamental. I have seen cases where
Administrator couldn't even do what it should be able to do. Someone much wiser than
I would have to answer the question. I personally have enough space that I don't
worry about it.

Wait!!! Stop!!!!! The Default User folder contains the default registry settings
that are applied when a new user logs on. Leave that folder alone. And please hide
hidden files so you don't try to delete any other important stuff. My Computer -->
Tools --> Folder Options --> View --> Do not show hidden files and folders.
