Thank you Steve. I downloaded the file and went to it. I opened the file and only
my first name is there. My last name is not there, yet my system folder in Documents
and Settings is June Jolmes instead of June Holmes. I still can't find where to change
it. Files scanned are June Jolmes

If you go to Run type "regedit" follow the path.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
Click on CurrentVersion and in the right pane you will
see Registered Owner and Registered Organization.
You right click on this and choose "Modify" and type in
your corrections.
Be Careful in there.

The reg edit I gave may not change the Name on the
folder in Documents and Settings. I found a several
MS articles and from what I get the folder in question can have it's name changed
in XP Pro but not XP Home.
Which one do you have?

Steve, I have Windows XP Home Edition. It is a 4500 Series Dell Computer. I have
install the X-setup Pro from the x-setup website. I am not an advanced user and
do not yet know how to use this tool. I am still reading itand as of yet, don't
understand it. I was hoping that it could find where I need to make the correct changes.
Steve, when I go to start.run.HICKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.software.microsoft.windowsNT.current
version, to the right beside registered organization, there is nothing. Beside registered
user, is my first name only It doesn't show my first and last name. That is why
I think the misspelled name is elsewhere. I just don't know where.
I just know that it shows up when I scan my files and it is on System folder in documents
and Settings. It allowed me to change the name in the all users folder, but not the
folder with my name on it.( themisspelled name).

The registry edit will change the name in the system
properties window. But the folder in the Documents and
Settings that also has the name of the registered owner is another story. I will
look some more for you. XP
Home edition is a little different in this area than XP pro
from what I read at Microsoft Knowledge base. I hate having my name plastered all
over the puter, so when
ever I do a install I Use the Name"User" and leave the
registration blank.

Well June I am sorry ,but I could not find a way to change the folder name in XP
Home. In XP pro it is
simply done in the user accounts, in the control panel.
I don't have a XP Home install to see what the differences are.
