I have tried manually many times to delete the trogan.dl virus on my computer. Norton
Antivirus sees it but will not allow me to delete it. Whenever I open up the internet
or log onto xp i get the system 32 folder to pop up and the dl trojan alert comes
up. PLease Help HOW can I get rid of it??

Check on Symantec's site for removal instructions on it. They'll have instructions
showing what to look for and delete and the registry locations, where it's loading
from, etc.

It will work, if you follow all the instructions. What didn't work? Do you have a
link to the page, and the exact name of the trojan?

In case it's a variant of the CWS trojan hijacker. Download the CWShredder and run
it:
Merjin.org Direct download: CWShredder.exe
Close all browser windows and run it offline. It may execute again after rebooting,
so run it again. Keep it on hand, as there are many problems with this particular
hijacker. He updates it frequently, so check for a newer version often.
Download SpybotSD Close all running programs, install then reboot.
Start it and go online and press 'search for updates' tab. (NOTE: select the US or
Australian mirror site to download updates from, as there have been problems with
the default update site). Download all updates that aren't optional. Close all browser
windows, then start it in Easy mode and run the scan. Then click 'Check All', and
fix everything SpybotSD labels in red. Restart your computer.
