Question about 'How do I stop a program from running whenever I start Windows?'

After I start my computer and log into Windows XP, I get a small dialogue box that
reads "Resource Manager Not Found!" I have a general idea what a resource manager
is, but I don't know where it's supposed to be or why it's not there. I tried using
the windows search function including system files but it did not find anything.
I don't think it hurts anything by popping up, but it's somewhat frustrating to
have to click OK on it in order for Windows to continue to logging on. Please help.

Suzy,
There may be easier ways but the way I learned was to go to search, type msconfig
when the file comes up open the application file. A new window will open that has
a startup tab at the top right, open it. A list of all the program files that start
up when you start your computer will appear. Uncheck the ones you don't want to open.
If your not sure what the file is I only delete one of those at a time to what what
happens.
Good luck,
Harry
