I am not sure about the new version of tweakui, but it
is in the older 1.33 version which works with XP, though not sure if both programs
should be on the
PC at the same time. I have had the old one installed
on one XP box since before the new one was available
and it hasn't had any problems.

CurrentVersion\ Uninstall, and remove keys under Uninstall." .......dont know anything

TweakUI seems to have dropped it, as applications have gotten better at clearing
out stuff like their entry in Add/Remove Programs. Still, help is sometimes required.
You can, as above, venture into the registry, or you can try Xteq Systems X-setup
(at http://www.xteq.com/) or find JV16 Power Tools v.1.3 or earlier (later versions
are paid only).
Both will change your registry for you. Remember, no matter who edits your registry,
a backup is always a good idea.

You can have both versions with no problems.

Xteq Systems X-setup is a great application, but it doesn't do what you're asking
for.
However, JV16 Power Tools definitely has that capability. But be careful & back
up your registry first. . . it's a powerful application, and easily abused if you're
not paying attention.

ARGH! Trying to remove an entry from add/remove programs. I installed 'windowblinds'
which caused some weird behaviour on my computer, so I uninstalled it. The program
is gone ... but there is a HUGE black entry in the add/remove program dialog where
it used to be. I can't get rid of this. I went into regedit and removed all entries
for the program (there were 2) ... I went through the entire uninstal info in the
registry and can't find a reference to the program or the company that makes it (even
checked the info in the keys).
I installed the new winxp powertools tweakui hoping that it would fix ... but the
'remove entry from add/remove program' is gone from this version. So I found a copy
of tweakui 1.33 and installed that ... but I can't find the section to edit hte add.remove
programs section there either! this is driving me crazy. I want my nice clean list
in add/remove programs back. Not abig black blotch that is 100+ screens in size!

Check in your registry under
HKEY | LOCAL MACHINE | SOFTWARE | MICROSOFT | WINDOWS | CURRENT VERSION | UNINSTALL
and see if you have an entry for "Electronic Arts Game Updater". For some reason
the value "UninstallString" has a data of:
C:\WINDOWS\IsUninst.exe -f"c:program files\nfs\Updater\Uninst.isu"
that is corrupted. I renamed the value to "!UninstallString" and it took away the
boxes in appwiz.cpl. If I need to uninstall EA Updater, I just need to run the data
string from the RUN command (without the exclamation point, of course!) That's what
worked for me!
