I just found out I have a CWS trojan virus  Coolwebsearch trojan.  It somehow got 
past my Norton anti virus.  It will not allow me to start my shedder or Hijackthis. 
 Can't seem to get rid of it. I have read that there is over 2 dozen variants of 
this virus and it attacks the registry.  It also disabled my Task manager and I can't 
get it enabled.  I'm going crazy here.  Please help! Many thanks.  Mickey

For example, any version of Stinger before yesterday will not detect the Sasser worm. The online scans are generally updated as the defs come out. This will completely take care of it: CoolWebSearch Chronicles Run the CWShredder.exe file. Close all browser windows and press FIX to scan and clean. Reboot and run the Shredder again.
