I have a question about Stop
Windows from Wildly Accessing your Hard Disk:
My laptop running XP spontaneously starts grinding the hard drive. I think I figured
it out - it's automatically running defrag. How do I stop it from doing this?

Look in scheduled tasks. Programs, Accessories, System tools.

Well, I did that, but I don't see defrag there. Just Symantec NetDetect.

Are you sure that isn't some 3rd party software designed to defrag automatically.
